On Friendship
I wonder, now sober, at all that happened tonight...and am somewhat amazed. I have felt cherished and adored for the first time in a very long time, and have three wonderful friends to thank for it. The things that I spent so long wanting seem pale, or clouded with such resentment that they are now wholly undesirable.
That it took near a keg of grog and a lot of willingness to throw caution to the wind is likewise surprising...generally drinking only gets me into the worst sort of trouble, but in this case it seems to have led me to finally exorsize those demons that have plagued me these last few months.
Were my dreams of yesterday given to me today...I would refuse them entirely, and happily...
Strange, the changes that a few short hours can bring...
